Signs of a leak
Signs of a leak
- Cooling that fades over weeks rather than failing outright
- Ice forming on the line set or the indoor coil
- A hissing or bubbling note near the coil
- The system ran fine last year and is short this year
- A previous company that has 'added refrigerant' more than once
How the visit runs
Find it, then price it
Leak search comes before recharge, every time. Then you get the honest position: what the repair costs, what it is worth on equipment of that age, and what happens if you do nothing. On older R-22 systems the refrigerant price is usually the part of the conversation that decides it.
Before the knock a Hero Card lands in your texts with your Space Tech's photo, name and a T-minus heads-up. The price goes in writing before work begins, and the job is done when the system works and the house is cleaner than we found it.
Refrigerant handling is EPA-regulated work and runs to the checklist.
